2 Photos of moments in life

Imagen
This photo is from 2009, when I was about 5 years old. My dad took it at my maternal great-grandmother's house. She was an English teacher and even became a school principal. My great-grandmother had a huge house with a corridor that led to an inner garden full of plume flowers, which stand out in the background of the photo with their lavender color.  My father took the picture to draw me later; he draws exceptionally well and has an incredible talent. I don’t have a photograph of the drawing, but I can describe it: it’s done in gray tones, drawn freehand with graphite, capturing every detail of me and the background.  Currently, my great-grandmother's house belongs to another family, but I still pass by it often since my grandmother’s house is connected to it through a door.   Here I am with my high school friend in Papudo. We went there for our fourth year trip in December 2022, at that time, I had already turned 18. It was the first time I traveled without my parents, jus

An Ideal Job (plus a song)

Who is it by? The song "Tarde" is by Ricardo Arjona. What genre is it? It's a ballad that blends pop and Latin music. When did you first hear it? I first heard it on the car radio of my dad while driving to my grandparents' house. Why do you like it? I like it because it reflects nostalgia and the complexity of human relationships, and Arjona's way of describing the passage of time and loss is poignant. Mention anything else you consider important or interesting. It's interesting how Arjona has maintained his unique style throughout his career while exploring different themes and sounds. "Tarde" stands out for its sincerity and the emotional connection it establishes with the listener.

A School Teacher

Imagen
One of the teachers I remember most is my 6th grade math teacher from my school "Escuela Básica Integral Enlaces de Lampa". She wasnt someone who stood out for making me excel math, but rather for recognizing my qualities as a responsible, attentive, and organized student. She would often praise me in front of my classmates, which gave me confidence, even thoug math wasnt my strongest subject. My school was about a 40 minute walk from my house, and sometimes is run into her on the way. If she saw me, she would offer me a ride and always mentionet that I was the only student she knew who walked to school so early in the morning. I made it a habit to wake up early and make the long walk to ensure I was on time. I havent seen her in many years, but the way she recognized my dedication left a lasting impression oon me. She taught me that being consistent, responsible and present, evem when things get difficult, is valuable. It is a lesson that I still carry with me in my studies

My 5 favorites

My favorite song is "No vaya a ser" by Pablo Alborán. It was hard to choose just one, as every song on my playlist has something unique that makes it special. My favorite movie is "The Prince of Egypt," the Disney movie that tells the story of Ramses and Moses. I love how the movie combines history with stunning animation and a moving soundtrack. Here is the link to listen to the best song from the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQhcOJHTdb4 My favorite book is "The Prince of Mist" by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. It is an amazing mix of suspense and mystery, with a story that captivated me from beginning to end. My favorite piece of technology is my computer. It gives me a better view, and I use it both to have fun playing League of Legends or Roblox or any other game and to work on my architecture projects. One of my favorite memories is being with my boyfriend in Colbún, in the tinajas, looking at the starry sky in summer. We talked and laughed, and it w

In India and United States, on firts Sunday in August and in Finland and Estonia on February 14, coinciding with valentine's day. Celebrations are usually similar: friends get together, share meals, exchange gifts like books, flowers or a friendship bracelet. The goal is to remember the importance of friends and value of frienship. A GOOD FRIEND Sofia, my good friend, is 20 years old and a special part of my life. We met in highschool and have been inseparable ever since. What connects us the most is growing up together and living close by in Lampa. We have shared so many moments, from laughing in class to walks around our neighborhood. It is easy to feel undertood when you have a friend who's been by your side for many years.

During my internet research about New York City, I found the official website of the Statue of Liberty very interesting for its detailed history and expert tips for visiting. If I were to visit New York, I would love to: Take a ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island to see this iconic monument. Walk through Central Park to enjoy its beautiful scenery. Attend a Broadway show. 1.
