What you most enjoyed writing about, and why?
I truly enjoyed writing about the two photos in my blog, "2 Photos of Moments in Life." The first photo, taken in 2009 when I was five years old, captured a precious moment at my great-grandmother’s house. I loved describing the atmosphere of the house, the lavender-colored plume flowers in the garden, and my father's artistic talent. Writing about that memory made me reflect on how much that house meant to me, as well as the importance of family connections. The second photo, taken in 2022 with my high school friends, was also a highlight. It was my first time traveling without my parents, and I got to share the joy of exploring a new place with close friends. Writing about those memories allowed me to relive the fun and freedom of that trip, which was one of the best vacations I've ever had. Both photos brought back beautiful memories, and writing about them felt like a way of preserving those moments forever.
What you least enjoyed writing about, and why?
I did not enjoy writing about "Exploring NYC on a Webquest" as much as I would have liked. While I found the information about New York City, such as the tourist spots and detailed facts about the Statue of Liberty, interesting, I felt that the format was too factual and less personal. I would have preferred to write about something more creative or engaging, like personal experiences or stories. Writing about a webquest felt more like a research task than a fun writing exercise, and I missed the emotional connection I had with other topics, such as the photos from my memories.
Whose blog did you enjoy reading and why?
I really enjoyed reading Constanza Medina's blog, "My September 18th Uyui!" The way she shared her experience during the Fiestas Patrias was so relatable and fun. Even though her blog started with a small setback (the early morning presentation), she was able to focus on the positive aspects of her celebration, spending time with her family and enjoying various games and traditions. I liked how she captured the joy of being with loved ones and the excitement of the festivities. It was a lighthearted and genuine post that made me smile and reminded me of my own family celebrations.
What aspects of English learning the blog work has helped you with?
Working on the blog has significantly improved my English writing skills. It has helped me practice structuring my thoughts more clearly and organizing my ideas in a way that is easy to follow. Additionally, writing for the blog has expanded my vocabulary, especially when describing memories, places, or experiences. I also learned how to make my writing more engaging by adding details and using descriptive language. Overall, the blog has been a valuable tool for enhancing both my writing fluency and my ability to express myself in english.
Whether or not you will blog in the future, and why, why not?
I would not write a blog in the future, because I don't really like writing about myself or different topics. Also, I think that to write a blog you must dedicate yourself to it.
