A School Teacher

One of the teachers I remember most is my 6th grade math teacher from my school "Escuela Básica Integral Enlaces de Lampa". She wasnt someone who stood out for making me excel math, but rather for recognizing my qualities as a responsible, attentive, and organized student. She would often praise me in front of my classmates, which gave me confidence, even thoug math wasnt my strongest subject.

My school was about a 40 minute walk from my house, and sometimes is run into her on the way. If she saw me, she would offer me a ride and always mentionet that I was the only student she knew who walked to school so early in the morning. I made it a habit to wake up early and make the long walk to ensure I was on time.


I havent seen her in many years, but the way she recognized my dedication left a lasting impression oon me. She taught me that being consistent, responsible and present, evem when things get difficult, is valuable. It is a lesson that I still carry with me in my studies and in my daily life. Additionally, during my time at that school, I received the Espíritu Enlaces award, a diploma that recognizes outstanding perfomance in all areas of study and values taught at the school, which made that period even more special for me.

On My Radar: Vashti Bunyan's Cultural Highlights Today in class I read an article about Vashti Bunyan, a singer-songwriter born in cultural hotspot London, and it was fascinating to see what resonates with an artist like her. BLOG FUN DAY

 A Fun Day Out With Friends Last weekend, I had the most incredible day with a group of close friends that I've known for years. These friends, Sofia and Atenea, have been with me through thick and thin. Sofia and I met in college during a group project, Atenea was a childhood neighbor who became like a sister to me. Over time, our bond has only grown stronger, making every moment we spend together special. We decided to take a break from our busy lives and have a fun day out. After some discussion, we settled on going to an amusement park that none of us had visited before. The anticipation was high as we drove there, laughing and talking about everything under the sun. 2 Photos of moments in life

  This photo is from 2009, when I was about 5 years old. My dad took it at my maternal great-grandmother's house. She was an English teacher and even became a school principal. My great-grandmother had a huge house with a corridor that led to an inner garden full of plume flowers, which stand out in the background of the photo with their lavender color.  My father took the picture to draw me later; he draws exceptionally well and has an incredible talent. I don’t have a photograph of the drawing, but I can describe it: it’s done in gray tones, drawn freehand with graphite, capturing every detail of me and the background.  Currently, my great-grandmother's house belongs to another family, but I still pass by it often since my grandmother’s house is connected to it through a door.   Here I am with my high school friend in Papudo.
