The International Day of Friendship is celebrated on different dates depending on the country. In Brazil and Spain on July 20. In India and United States, on firts Sunday in August and in Finland and Estonia on February 14, coinciding with valentine's day. Celebrations are usually similar: friends get together, share meals, exchange gifts like books, flowers or a friendship bracelet. The goal is to remember the importance of friends and value of frienship.

A GOOD FRIEND


Sofia, my good friend, is 20 years old and a special part of my life. We met in highschool and have been inseparable ever since. What connects us the most is growing up together and living close by in Lampa. We have shared so many moments, from laughing in class to walks around our neighborhood. It is easy to feel undertood when you have a friend who's been by your side for many years.

On My Radar: Vashti Bunyan's Cultural Highlights Today in class I read an article about Vashti Bunyan, a singer-songwriter born in cultural hotspot London, and it was fascinating to see what resonates with an artist like her. The article offered an intriguing insight into her world, highlighting a Scottish railway museum, a much-loved painter, and a forgotten American musician... The aspects of culture discussed ranged from music and art to places and literature. What stood out to me the most was her mention of the song “Roving Woman” by Connie Converse. The story behind the song is both tragic and mysterious: Connie Converse, an overlooked songwriter from the 1950s, disappeared without a trace in 1974, leaving behind only her music. BLOG FUN DAY

 A Fun Day Out With Friends Last weekend, I had the most incredible day with a group of close friends that I've known for years. These friends, Sofia and Atenea, have been with me through thick and thin. Sofia and I met in college during a group project, Atenea was a childhood neighbor who became like a sister to me. Over time, our bond has only grown stronger, making every moment we spend together special. We decided to take a break from our busy lives and have a fun day out. After some discussion, we settled on going to an amusement park that none of us had visited before. The anticipation was high as we drove there, laughing and talking about everything under the sun. The weather was perfect, with clear skies and a gentle breeze a great start to our adventure. Once we arrived at the park, the excitement kicked in. 2 Photos of moments in life

  This photo is from 2009, when I was about 5 years old. My dad took it at my maternal great-grandmother's house. She was an English teacher and even became a school principal. My great-grandmother had a huge house with a corridor that led to an inner garden full of plume flowers, which stand out in the background of the photo with their lavender color.  My father took the picture to draw me later; he draws exceptionally well and has an incredible talent. I don’t have a photograph of the drawing, but I can describe it: it’s done in gray tones, drawn freehand with graphite, capturing every detail of me and the background.  Currently, my great-grandmother's house belongs to another family, but I still pass by it often since my grandmother’s house is connected to it through a door.   Here I am with my high school friend in Papudo.
